Less than 48 hours...packing our bags!!
I'm packing the hospital bags and checking them twice!! Barrett's bag has been packed for a few weeks now but I just haven't done mine because I still need half the stuff I'm gonna pack. I'm making a list of what to throw in last minute and packing what I can. Ben is gonna pack his bag soon as well.
We have less than 48 hours before we meet our precious little boy!!! This is crazy and the feeling is so overwhelming and exciting!! I just feel so giddy!!!
My mom and Whitney are coming in this evening and my Dad will come Thursday evening. I'm excited to see them!! Since I haven't been able to get too far away from the hospital, I haven't been to their house in a while. Ben's parent are coming up early Friday morning as well. What a WONDERFUL weekend we have to look forward to!!! :) I pray everything goes great and we are all healthy. Thank you Jesus for this awesome miracle!!

Last weekend of...Just The Two of Us!!
It was so strange thinking all weekend..."This is the last weekend it will just be us--me and Ben!" We are super excited to become a family of 3!! Ben had a 3 day weekend which was perfect timing. We got some last minute things done--switched sides of the bed so I can be by Barrett (There's more room on his side.), picked up the bed rails that go to the crib once we convert it, went grocey shopping, took a few naps (haha!), and a few more minor things done in the nursery.
We also went out to eat every single day!! YUM!
Up until about a week ago, I had been sleeping pretty well with the exception of frequent bathroom visits. Well, those days are long gone I'm afraid! Last night, it was 4am before I finally fell asleep and tonight,well, I'm up past midnight doing laundry and such and writing this blog! Oh well...I guess my body is preparing itself for this sweet little boy who is going to need my attention at all hours of the night.
Today was my LAST doctor appointment before we meet Barrett on Friday. It was kind of strange talking to my doctor and thinking that the next time we see him, he will be delivering our baby boy!! It was a quick visit as always. He gave us some instructions/rules for my c-section and sent us on our way. :)
The A/C man comes tomorrow afternoon...I hope he can fix our a/c quickly and it's nothing major!

No A/C
We realized our air conditioner was not cooling on Friday. It hasn't been hot outside (about 75 degrees) but about mid afternoon, it does get kinda warm in our house. I am sooooo glad I am not 9 months pregnant in the summer months! I'd be miserable!!!
I really hope the A/C people can make it out Monday or Tuesday!!!

1 MORE WEEK!!!
In 1 week, we will be meeting and holding our new little baby boy! It is so hard to imagine still!
This will be mine and Ben's last weekend as a couple...next weekend we will be a family of 3!!!

Dr. Appt. / 37 weeks 3 days
My doctor's appointment went great today...just the usual (weight, BP, heart rate, tummy measurement, UA). I always want my doctor to sit and talk to me and tell me a bunch of stuff about my pregnancy and the baby for some reason...I know he doesn't have anything new to tell me but for some reason I just want lots of information. I did let him know that I am getting miserable and uncomfortable, hoping he would say "Well, let's just have this baby this week.". He had no mercy on me....just said "Not much longer!". I'm sure every pregnant woman begins to tell their doctor how uncomfortable they are by 37 weeks :) Barrett will be here on February 25th unless he decides to come earlier. :)
I did have a sonogram on Friday to check on his size. They estimated he already weighs a WhOpPiNg 8 lbs. 6 oz.!!! He may look like a toddler by next week!! They did say their measurements could be off a pound either way. Let's hope if they are off, that he is a tad smaller and not bigger...YIKES!! He is definitely going to be a BIG boy...he has been measuring big the whole time!!!
11 more days until we meet this sweet little blessing!! I can hardly believe we are about to have a baby and be MOM and DAD!! I just can't imagine how great it is going to be to finally be able to see and hold our little boy!!!
Ben and I did a Valentine's lunch (Pappadeaux...YUM!) on Saturday instead of doing something tonight. So, we are just hanging out at the house being boring and lazy. :)
My Dad had Ben pick up a dozen roses for me from my parents and sister. :)
I'm off to make some cookies....

36 weeks 3 days
My doctor appointment went good today! Baby is head down and we OnLy have 2 weeks 4 days left!! It is so CLOSE!!! We can't wait to meet Barrett!!!
I went to Hobby Lobby and Target just to look around and browse but by the time I was done...I was SO TIRED!! I'm thinking my shopping days while this big pregnant are coming to an end!!! :)
I am becoming uncomfortable and I think Barrett is running out of room. He has been moving around quite a bit lately, which is always nice!

Super Bowl XLV
So, I'm not the biggest sports person or anything but the Super Bowl was in Arlington at the new Dallas Cowboys stadium this year. (kinda neat for the DFW area)
I can't even say that I watched 10 minutes of it! HA! BUT...we did have Super Bowl food that I enjoyed.
Ben made hot wings, pepperoni pizza, cheesy tots, and we had chips/dip, cookies, and jalapeno/cheese pigs in a blanket. YES...all that food for just TWO people. Oh well!! It's only once a year, right?!?
And I have a doctor's appointment in the morning...that weigh in should be FUN...NOT!!! :)

CaBiN FeVeR!!
Last night it snowed...quite a bit...so today was snow day #4 for the area.
We are getting cabin fever!!
We did go ride around for just a bit to see all the snow and take some pictures!
Tomorrow we are bound and determined to get out and go a few places!! :)

Snow Day #3!!
So...Ben was off work AGAIN today and it's looking like he probably will be tomorrow as well. All the school districts are starting to close for tomorrow as well.
We DID get out today which I think we wre both VERY thankful for!! We went to lunch, Wal-Mart (went to just walk around and get NOTHING but walked out with $70 of stuff...typical), Academy, and a few other places. It was SOOOO nice to get out and about again! The roads weren't terrible but did have ice in spots. We did see 2 wrecks.
Tomorrow is calling for more snow here and also East Texas. Ben is supposed to go to the farm Saturday for the night so we will see if he is able to make it or not. I cannot travel anymore (at least not 5 hours) so my mom and sister are going to come up here and stay with me. Girls weekend!! :)

Snow Day 2011
Yesterday, we had a snow day. Well, it was more of an ICE day than snow but Ben's work got cancelled and almost every school district in the area. The weather and roads are pretty crazy up here! High temperature was 19 degrees and the low was 11 degrees!!
We enjoyed a nice, warm, cozy fire that Ben played with all day long!!
Ben and Bella outside...that is a solid sheet of ice...no snow!
I made chili at about 8 in the morning. We got up at about 5 because the sleet was SO LOUD on our bedroom window that we couldn't sleep). Also, Barrett kicked and wiggled from about 6 to 7:30...I don't know that he has ever been that active for so long! :) Maybe that means he is ready to make his debut!!
And this little DIVA even enjoyed the nice fire! :)
Today...Ben was off work AGAIN because of the weather. High temperature today was 20 degrees and the low temerature is 9 degrees!! BRRRR!!!! We are going a little stir crazy and getting cabin fever. We did get out and go to the Dollar Store and Sonic (1/2 mile from our house). When we got back home, we had to help each other get up our driveway (it's kinda uphill). To go down the driveway, we just kind of slid down and caught ourselves on Ben's truck. Even Bella had a bit of a difficult time running up the drive...what a funny sight!
Lots of school districts are already closing for tomorrow (3rd day in a row). Wonder if Ben will work tomorrow or not?!?! If he doesn't, we are going to have to get out and do something or go somewhere before we go BoNkErS!!
