A FULL house!! :)

We have had a full house ever since Barrett was born it seems like.  We have very much enjoyed all the help!!  It has definitely made things easier.  My parents and Whitney stayed for a few days.  Dad and Whitney had to go back home for work/school but came back during the week and surprised me and brought my Aunt Sherrie who lives in South Carolina.  It was a nice surprise and I enjoyed seeing her and it was neat to introduce her to Barrett.  My mom cooked for us and even took the night shift some to let us sleep!!  Thank you Mom!!!  Ben and I had one night alone when my family left before his parents came up for a couple nights.  They also cooked for us and helped with Barrett during the day.  When they left, my mom and Whitney came back up and helped out some more.  Luke and Meredith came this weekend to meet Barrett for the first time and headed back home today.  We tried taking Barrett into town just to walk aroud outside and he wanted nothing to do with it.  So...we packed back up and headed back home.
Ben is off tomorrow and then he is headed back to work.  Im kind of scared about all my help leaving but I know (well, I HOPE) Barrett and I will get into some sort of routine.  Well....maybe all my help isn't gone yet...my mom and Whitney are going to try and come back up one night this week!!  YAY!!

Our sweet little boy arrived at 9:59 am on February 25, 2011.

He weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was 19.5 inches long.

Less than 48 hours...packing our bags!!

I'm packing the hospital bags and checking them twice!!  Barrett's bag has been packed for a few weeks now but I just haven't done mine because I still need half the stuff I'm gonna pack.  I'm making a list of what to throw in last minute and packing what I can.  Ben is gonna pack his bag soon as well.

We have less than 48 hours before we meet our precious little boy!!!  This is crazy and the feeling is so overwhelming and exciting!!  I just feel so giddy!!!

My mom and Whitney are coming in this evening and my Dad will come Thursday evening.  I'm excited to see them!!  Since I haven't been able to get too far away from the hospital, I haven't been to their house in a while.  Ben's parent are coming up early Friday morning as well.  What a WONDERFUL weekend we have to look forward to!!!  :)  I pray everything goes great and we are all healthy.  Thank you Jesus for this awesome miracle!!

Dr. Appt. / 37 weeks 3 days

My doctor's appointment went great today...just the usual (weight, BP, heart rate, tummy measurement, UA).  I always want my doctor to sit and talk to me and tell me a bunch of stuff about my pregnancy and the baby for some reason...I know he doesn't have anything new to tell me but for some reason I just want lots of information.  I did let him know that I am getting miserable and uncomfortable, hoping he would say "Well, let's just have this baby this week.".  He had no mercy on me....just said "Not much longer!".  I'm sure every pregnant woman begins to tell their doctor how uncomfortable they are by 37 weeks  :)  Barrett will be here on February 25th unless he decides to come earlier.  :)

I did have a sonogram on Friday to check on his size.  They estimated he already weighs a WhOpPiNg 8 lbs. 6 oz.!!!  He may look like a toddler by next week!!  They did say their measurements could be off a pound either way.  Let's hope if they are off, that he is a tad smaller and not bigger...YIKES!!  He is definitely going to be a BIG boy...he has been measuring big the whole time!!!

11 more days until we meet this sweet little blessing!!  I can hardly believe we are about to have a baby and  be MOM and DAD!!  I just can't imagine how great it is going to be to finally be able to see and hold our little boy!!!

Ben and I did a Valentine's lunch (Pappadeaux...YUM!) on Saturday instead of doing something tonight.  So, we are just hanging out at the house being boring and lazy.  :)

My Dad had Ben pick up a dozen roses for me from my parents and sister.  :)

I'm off to make some cookies....

Nursery

We have had so much fun picking out furniture and stuff for the nursery!!  The first thing we did was order furniture!!

2nd Trimester

Hmmm...let's see.  The 2nd trimester was pretty easy!  I wasn't sick, I had my appetite back, and had lots more energy. 
The exciting thing that we did find out during the 2nd trimester was the sex of the baby.
