Doctor Appointment

Today I am 35 weeks and 3 days pregnant!!  I also had a dr's appointment and everything looks great!!  I actually left the doctor's office, made it all the way back down to my car, looked at my phone, and the receptionist had called me saying we forgot to do some required bloodword.  So....up I went back up to the office, got blood drawn, and was on my way!   

We have been so blessed with this pregnancy...despite being sick in the beginning, everything has went just perfectly and I have had no complications.  I go to the doctor every week from here on out!

Our c-section is scheduled for February 25th at 9:30am and I CANNOT WAIT to meet our little boy!  On Valentines Day, we have a dr appointment and will actually get a sonogram that day.  They are just going to check and see how big this little guy is.   

I'm off to wash one more load of baby clothes!!  It may be the last load til he comes...we will see!

We are expecting snow/sleet tomorrow morning and the low is 12 degrees!!  Ben thinks it will be a great day for chili so I went and got chili fixin's!

Nursery....complete!!

Well, I finally feel like the nursery is pretty much complete (besides a couple things here and there)!  I am really pleased with it!  My mom (Nonnie) made all the bedding and did a wondeful job!  I LOVE it and think it will really be something that will last a long time and grow with Barrett.

Shower

A few of mine and my moms friends gave Ben and I a wonderful shower on Sunday, January 23 at Ashley's house.  Her house is always absolutely stunning!  Everything was perfect!!  We are so blessed by our wonderful friends and family!!

3D Sonogram

After 2 attempts to get a 3D sonogram picture, me jumping up and down at the doctors office to wake Barrett up, and the sonographer jiggling my tummy, we finally got to see our little angel!!  He is so perfect and I can't wait to see him and hold him in my arms!!!  I'm in LOVE!!

Shower (Ben's work)

Ben's offices (Plano and Sherman) gave us a shower on Thursday, January 20.  He is so blessed to work with a great group of people!!  They were so kind and generous.  The shower was at Cheddar's Restaurant during lunch.

Nursery

We have had so much fun picking out furniture and stuff for the nursery!!  The first thing we did was order furniture!!

2nd Trimester

Hmmm...let's see.  The 2nd trimester was pretty easy!  I wasn't sick, I had my appetite back, and had lots more energy. 
The exciting thing that we did find out during the 2nd trimester was the sex of the baby.

1st Trimester

We found out we were pregnant at about 5 weeks.  When that 6th week hit, so did the morning sickness!!  (morning, afternoon, evening...ha!)  I stayed sick pretty much all day, every day for 7 weeks (Poor Ben!) and was super tired!  I think I took a nap every single day!  Just the thought of cooking raw meat made me sick.  Needless to say, I didnt cook much and Ben ate a whole lot of fast food!!   As soon as the 13th week rolled around, I began to feel MUCH better!!!

We are PREGNANT!!!

We found out on June 26, 2010 that we were expecting our little bundle of joy!

We finally believed it...6 pregnancy tests later!  Ha!

Welcome!!

I decided to start this blog because I love looking at other people's blogs.  I thought it would be a neat way to document and look back.  I intend on having my blog printed in book form once a year or so for us to keep instead of scrapbooking.  I started scrapbooking last year but decided it is WAY too time consuming and expensive. 
My husband, Ben, and I live in a small town outside of the DFW area.  We are expecting a little blessing, Thomas Barrett, on February 25.  We are so excited and can't wait!  While we have been very blessed in our time here, we look forward to the day that we get to move back to good ole East Texas!

December 25, 2006...the day Ben proposed.  He proposed in front of my family on Christmas morning!!  What a sweetheart!!
